Our core values have always been our focus for how we treat our clients and our fellow co-workers. It’s how we’ve built our solid reputation and a growing business. But over the years, they have come to affect more than just those within the immediate Domain community. As we have developed and solidified our team, it can’t help but overflow into how we interact with the community around us. Here are some of the organizations we’re involved with right now.
In partnership with Dr. Jianping Wang at MCCC, Domain Computer Services is rolling out a Network Engineering Technology program through the community college that helps students bridge the gap between education and employment. This program is called The Domain Tech Academy. It serves a threefold purpose. First, it gives MCCC students access to on-the-job training that they would not otherwise have while getting paid, easing the financial burden of education. Second, it allows Domain Computer Services to train for our own negative job gap as well as the business technology industry as a whole. Third, we are able to provide businesses with IT support at unbeatable rates, keeping your business local.
High School students who want to explore a possible career in IT can enroll in the FUTURE Domain Tech Academy, which provides students with Cisco IT Essential skills through participation in hands-on work with computers. Domain Computer Services has partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Mercer to assist them in implementing the program. At the successful completion of the 100-hour internship experience, students 16 years of age and older will be eligible for 6-9 hours per week of part-time employment with the Club. And then if they want to continue their career path, they can attend Mercer County Community College and intern with the Domain Tech Academy.
